A tiny puncture of the thyroid nodule using a Fine Needle Aspiration(FNA) is a well-established, diagnostic examination of high precision that is usually the first step in the evaluation of the thyroid nodule. Always with the guidance of ultrasounds, the needle extracts some cells from the nodule and the Cytologist can give reliable results in just a few days, helping us to make an early diagnosis.
